Not to get all morbid on you, but in the grand scheme of things, life is short. So what better way to get the most out if it than having important memories documented visually. Think of your future generations, what a privilege to be able to give them photographs to look upon and reminisce over. Imagine sitting with your grandchildren poring over albums and being able to tell them stories of that time.
No matter the reason for your session booking, one thing is clear – you want your story told, and I want to tell it.
Why? Because your story is your legacy.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
You may never have been photographed before, or maybe you have. You may have loved the experience, or maybe it was stressful and tedious for you. I’m here to tell you, that is the last thing I want. I’m here to give you a stress-free, fun and enjoyable experience.
I don’t get caught up too much in your traditional, straight laced, CHEESE type posing. You’ll still get all the necessary photos, but it will be organic and connected and REAL.
In order to get the most out of your session, please make sure you provide me with the following information:
What speaks to you the most?
What are you hoping to portray? Is there anything specific you want captured?
Tell me a little about yourself, and those who will be documented on the day.
BUT, I’VE GOT NOTHING TO WEAR!
I assure you, you have! When sorting outfits for a session, I am here to help!
Let’s get this organised together. And if you are still not happy with your current wardrobe choices, I can help guide you if there is something that you want to buy.
As a general rule, to get the best images you want to wear something in Earthy, organic colours. Think forest greens, mustards, tan, rust, beige, khaki, navy blues, denims, burgundy etc
Make sure nothing has too strong of a pattern – but different textures of materials are great!
No stripes, neon colours or brand logos- they take away from your beautiful faces and can diminish the overall feel of the photos.
Please send me photos and we can discuss together, to come up with something that you will look and feel great in.
BUT MY HOUSE WON’T PHOTOGRAPH WELL
Does your house have windows? Or a door? Then it will photograph well! All I need is some good ol’ natural light. Sure, we might need to move a chair or some furniture, but isn’t it worth it to get the best images? I may ask you to send some photos before the day so that I can prepare.
Don’t stress about mess. This is about life, real life. A quick tidy and de-clutter is all you need to do.
I WANT IT OUTDOORS, BUT I DON’T KNOW WHERE!
Never fear. Let’s have a chat about what type of result you are hoping to achieve and I can give you a list of the locations that I frequently use. We can decide together from there.
BUT, I JUST WANT THE DIGITALS
And that’s ok. You will receive edited digital images in a high resolution jpeg form (the number will vary depending on the package that you have booked). Yep, they’re great for social media and looking at them in your Facebook memories every year.....
But, let’s talk about art. And heart.
It’s an investment.
It’s your story, and part of telling your story is being able to view it with pride!
I highly recommend ordering wall art of your favourite photo (or two...or three!). Albums are another great way to reminisce over when that nostalgia hits. After all, don’t you want something to pass down? To touch and see and feel? How much do you spend on coffee each day? Add that up....so why is investing in your STORY less important than that?!
I only print through PROFESSIONAL labs. My editing screen is colour calibrated to the inks that those labs use. Therefore, you will receive prints and art that are true to colour, how they SHOULD be viewed. Printing through a cheap, non-professional lab that anybody can use just does not do yourself (or the story that you are trying to tell) any justice. At all.
SERIOUSLY, THIS IS ABOUT YOU.

THE T's & C's
A retainer fee of 20% is payable to secure your session. All retainer fees are NON-refundable but can be transferred.
Cancellations must give a 24 hour notice period or the retainer fee will be lost.
I will not release RAW images.
Please make sure that you have looked through my portfolio and are happy with my editing style – this will not change based on requests.
A travel fee may be payable depending on location – please confirm this with me.
In the event that I am unwell or cannot proceed with the booking on an arranged date and time, the session will be re-scheduled.
